i am using bsnl broadband 250 plan... so i have limitation on downloadings... but the thing is whenever i get connected ...... i will be downloading something which i really don't know wat it is ....... so i have already crossed the max downloading capacity....... i don't know wat to do.... so plz temme how to disable the downloading frm my pc....... plz help

I think you are using Windows XP and have not deactivated the Automatic Update. So pls go to
Control Panel and check the Notify me , but don't download automatically. I was also having same problem with the TATA Indicom Broadband

i wonder u have bsnl connection,then why did u buy this limited package.there is one new package out. 9000 annual payment with 256kbps connection with no limts

!!folks!!

be very very careful with the limited dowload packages, avoid them if you can... Else u end up shelling more than what u bargained for..

take a unlimited download item always

thanx for replies....... i have already disabled automatic downloads ..... still having problem........ for 900rs package i have to wait for some more days..... guys any solution plz

ok do one thing. go to control panel ,then adminnistrator and then go to services.and open the services and send me screen shot of services .

this services is monitoring all tasks in ur computer and internet and also on network...u can stop or start any service from here and also block or open ur extra ports ...which r gatway for hackers...

to see what is running on copmuter ctrl+shift+esc..........then prosess tab

for bandwidth solution there is some one using ur bandwidth and there is nothing......if u have sygate firewall or any agent for bandwidth monitoring like ......my vital agent....then u can see for ur self....
